Action Taken Report on Implementation of Anti-Ragging Measures at Dhamdhama Anchalik College
To ensure a safe, secure and ragging-free campus, the institution has implemented the following anti-ragging measures.
1 Constitution of Anti-Ragging Committee
An Anti-Ragging Committee has been constituted with representatives from the administration, faculty, non-teaching staff, students, parents and local authorities.

The committee meets periodically to review anti-ragging initiatives and address any concerns reported by students or other stakeholders.
2 Formation of Anti-Ragging Squad
An Anti-Ragging Squad has been formed to conduct regular inspections and maintain vigilance in classrooms, cafeterias, playgrounds and other areas of the campus.

Surprise visits are carried out during the academic session to ensure that the campus remains free from ragging and intimidation.
3 Awareness Programmes
- Orientation programmes are planned for newly admitted students to educate them about the harmful effects of ragging and its legal consequences.
- Awareness campaigns, seminars and interactive sessions are organized for students and staff members.
4 Display of Anti-Ragging Information
- Anti-ragging posters, notices and helpline numbers are prominently displayed at important locations across the campus.
- Students are informed about the confidential procedure for reporting ragging incidents.
5 Undertakings from Students and Parents
Anti-ragging undertakings are obtained from all students and their parents or guardians at the time of admission. Records of these undertakings are maintained by the institution.
6 Counselling and Mentoring
- Faculty mentors are assigned to newly admitted students to help them adjust to campus life.
- Counselling support is made available to students who require guidance or assistance.
7 Complaint and Grievance Redressal Mechanism
- A confidential complaint mechanism has been established to encourage students to report incidents without fear.
- Complaints, if received, are investigated promptly and appropriate action is taken according to institutional rules and applicable regulations.
8 Monitoring and Surveillance
- Faculty members and the Anti-Ragging Squad regularly monitor sensitive areas of the campus.
- CCTV surveillance is operational at strategic locations across the campus.
9 Disciplinary Measures
- The institution follows a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging.
- Any student found involved in ragging is subject to disciplinary action in accordance with institutional regulations and applicable legal provisions.
Outcome
The above measures have helped maintain a disciplined, safe and inclusive campus environment. During the reporting period, no incidents of ragging were reported. The institution remains committed to preventing ragging through continuous awareness, regular monitoring and prompt intervention.
