Dhamdhama Anchalik College Library

History :

Dhamdhama Anchalik College Library was established in 1988 along with its parent institution Dhamdhama Anchalik College.It was a ventured work of a few enthusiastic people of the locality,which was provincialised by the Assam  Government only in January 2021,after a long period of sacrifice.

Since it’s inception the Library is trying to cater the multifarious needs of the students and the teachers community.The institution started it’s function along with the junior college Library of Dhamdhama college at the very begining. In 2016 it was shifted to the new building of Dhamdhama Anchalik College and now it is working at the third floor of the new building.

     At present the library has a spacious reading room cum conference hall with sufficient light and convenience. The library was automated in 2019 by using a sofisticated software namely KOHA.

Books and Periodicals:

The library has more than seven thousand books and reference books .Besides,it has few numbers of newspapers and magazines and journals.Students can avail easy access to daily news by using newspaper stand of the Library.After provincialisation it is committed to register it’s membership with different National and International Institutions.

 All the faculty members and staff members of the college.

       Library rules and regulations

  Students are enrolled as a member of the library just after their admission and issued library cards.

  Students can study books in the library or get issued their books by producing their library cards.

  Students are permitted to enter at the library only on uniforms and keeping bags etc. on the counter desk.

Silence must be maintained in the library.

 Books are to be returned within fifteen days of issuing.

        Number of books issued:

 Working Hour: 10 A.M. to 04 A.M.

Sunday and holiday closed.

Library Automation:

All the books of the college Library are entered in the computer.The Library is automated by K O H A software using Linux Operating System.Books issuing service is fully automated using barcode technology.

Provision for study in the reading room.

Provision for reading daily and weekly newspapers magazines and journals.

Provision for O P A C facility technquire the titles of the collection of the Library.

Reward for the best user is sponsored by the Library every year.

Provision for Xerox copy.

 Construction of well equipped Library building.

Registration of membership to different National and International Institutions.
